BBG Workout Review Summary: The intense Kayla Itsines workout plan, Bikini Body Guide program (BBG program), has literally helped me lose over 40 pounds and transformed my body! Learn how effective the BBG workout pdf is in my Kayla Itsines Review below.
Hi, my name is Rachel McDermott. Welcome to my Bikini Body Guide review. I’m just a shy 31-year old housewife. I hardly ever say anything publicly or write anything online. But I had to make an exception to tell my story in the hopes it can help someone else.
To sum it up in one sentence: I lost over 40 pounds (and regained my self-respect) with the help of the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide – and the only reason I bought the Kayla Itsines BBG workout was because I discovered I could get the complete Kayla Itsines PDF eBooks for only $39.97, saving 80% off the regular price. I got the 80% discount from her discount website here.
If that admission helps one other woman accomplish the same thing, it was worth saying.
Now that you know who I am and why I’m writing this Kayla Itsines reviews, here’s the full story. Please forgive me if it’s a little jumbled, because I don’t usually do this kind of thing.
Please read my whole BBG review below so that you can fully understand how Kayla's Bikini Body Guide pdf helped me lose 40 pounds and transform my life!
I'll start the review with the actual cost of the BBG program pdf and how I actually bought them with an 80% discount (the main reason why I finally decided to purchase the guides).
Here is the ACTUAL total cost of the Bikini Body Guide (BBG Workout pdf) and the discounted price I bought them for;

As I've mentioned above, it was the 80% discount that convinced me to give the BBG workout a try. I was telling myself, "Hey, it's only $39 and you've got nothing to lose..."
So I bought the complete package from Kayla's discount site here and now here I am writing this review..
A little introduction of myself;
I’m pretty much an average person. I grew up in a middle class house, didn’t get into any real trouble, graduated high school and married my high school sweetheart.
I love my kids, I’m nice (at least, I try to be), I’m good-looking (at least, my husband says so!), I work pretty hard (thankfully, my boss thinks so) – and until recently, I was fat.
It just sort of happened without warning. I was never even “heavy” until I was 29 and I gave birth to my third child.
I was so busy taking care of a baby, the rest of my family, our house and my job that it was impossible to take off the extra pounds. And without time to exercise, the scale kept going the wrong way after that.
Before I knew it, it was a year-and-a-half later, I was 31 – and I was 40 pounds overweight.
I kind of panicked at that point, basically starving myself trying to lose the weight. I dropped a couple of pounds, but ended up in the hospital because of dehydration.
My doctor told me “Never do that again!” and my husband tried to make me feel better, telling me over and over again that he didn’t care about the “few extra pounds,” he loved me anyway.
But I knew it was more than a “few extra pounds.” I promised them that I’d take better care of myself and not worry about the weight.
So naturally, as soon as I got home, I went online and started researching exercise programs I could do at home, and diets I could follow without starving (and without my husband realizing that I was dieting!)
What I found was that there’s a lot of crap being sold. I saw people charging a ton of money for the same diets that I’d read in magazines.
Other people claiming to be experts who were trying to sell detailed instructions on how to do the same exercises we learned in gym class, and some stuff that seemed – at least to me – to be either dangerous or illegal.
Then I got lucky. I was “eavesdropping” on a weight loss forum and saw a post from a woman who had lost a lot of weight using something called the “Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide,” along with a link to a “Kayla's discount page” that was offering a huge 80% discount on Kayla Itsines guide.
I had never heard of this stuff before (I later learned it was known as Kayla's BBG pdf), so I started looking into it and it seemed to be a lot different than the other stuff I had found online.
It was created by an actual professional, it was detailed, it included exercises and a reasonable diet, and a lot of people were vouching for it.
I have to admit I was also attracted to it because I always thought I had a “bikini body” when I was younger, so the idea of a bikini body guide got me a little excited about regaining my figure.
The discount link that the woman had posted was still working, and the 80% discount on that page made the price for the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Bundle only $39.97. That, I could afford. So I swallowed hard and ordered.
Seven months and 43 pounds later – here’s my Kayla Itsines review.
I’ll start this review by explaining what I learned about Kayla Itsines and why I thought I might be able to trust her program. She’s a personal trainer from Australia who has been focusing on women’s needs since she was in her teens.
The Kayla Itsines guide are based on her work with clients, and on research she has done into how exercise and weight loss can be combined to “change” women’s bodies.
To me, that was more important than the fact that she’s an “Internet expert,” because there are a lot of those. To me, Kayla seemed to be a real expert, who just happens to be famous on the Internet.
Now, I’ll tell you about the BBG program itself: what I got, what I did, and how it worked.
There are three different sections of the Bikini Body Guide program, so you can order one or the other individually, or order them all together. Two of them is part of the Kayla Itsines Workout which details the Bikini Body Guide exercise program (BBG 1.0 and BBG 2.0), the other is the Kayla Itsines diet which (of course) spells out the BBG diet.
I figured that since the price was so low on her discount site, I might as well get them all with the complete package. The regular price for the complete bundle is nearly $190, so the $39.97 that I paid at her discount site was a good deal.
Since I was excited to get started, I was glad that I didn’t have to wait for the guides to show up in the mail. As soon as you make the purchase you can download each Kayla Itsines eBook immediately to your smartphone or tablets and get to work. So I did.
The first thing I did was to check out the Kayla Itsines workout pdf. Both BBG pdf 1.0 and 2.0 contains a full twenty-four weeks’ worth of specific exercise plans, but they’re not full weeks because you get one day per week to rest and recover.
On the other six days, you only have to work out for half an hour each day. That’s something even a busy mom/wife/employee like me can manage. Even better, the exercises are different every other day.
On the odd-numbered days you do high-intensity stuff like pushups and squats, but you only do each exercise for seven minutes before moving on to something else. That way you don’t get bored.
I was concerned at first that I would have problems figuring out exercises I’d never done before, but the BBG workout plan guide explains every one of them in detail so that even I could understand them.
On the even-numbered days, you get to do thirty minutes of whatever type of low-impact exercise you enjoy. You can run, bike, do yoga, use an elliptical or even participate in an organized group class if you like. In the BBG workout Kayla explained that you’re allowed to mix things up so you don’t get bored with the same type of low-impact activity.
Maybe the best thing about the workout plan is that it’s designed for people like me who aren’t already workout warriors. For the first month, the exercises are relatively simple so you don’t strain your muscles while you’re working your way into shape. After that, the exercises get progressively more difficult, to keep up with your increased ability to do them.
I loved what I saw in the workout guide so I moved on to Kayla Itsines diet guide - HELP plan, which is the name of the BBG diet guide.
Once again, it made a lot of sense. The diet is based on 1600 calories a day which is right around the minimum level that most women can get by with.
But particularly since people like me are trying to build up stamina and still take care of all of the responsibilities in their lives, you’re allowed to add a little additional healthy food to the meal plans if necessary.
There’s a full plan for two weeks’ worth of meals which you repeat twice a month. That way you don’t get bored eating the same thing day after day.
The recipes are all there too, so just like with the workout plan, you’re not guessing. The reason for the meal plans makes sense; they all emphasize foods that work to speed your metabolism, which forces your body to burn fat quickly.
You’re told exactly what and when you need to eat in order to lose weight, get fit and build a bikini body. There’s also a lot of information on what may be most important of all: how to change your eating habits to stay healthy for the rest of your life.
By the way, when you order the program from her discount site, you can choose either the “regular” diet program or an alternative one designed for vegetarians. I do eat meat, so I chose the regular BBG diet. But I thought this was a great idea.
Anyway, once I read through and understood everything, it was time to get to work.
To put it simply, I followed the BBG program religiously.
The high-impact exercises turned out to be pretty fun, especially since I had forgotten how much I enjoyed jumping rope when I was younger.
The situps were pretty tough at the start, but as I started losing a little weight (more about that shortly) they got easier, and I found that I liked the challenge of trying to do better each time.
For low-impact days I chose walking with my kids because I find it relaxing even though it’s good exercise. I thought there was a chance I’d either get too bored or too worn down to make it all the way through all twelve weeks, but I never even thought about giving up.
I liked the feeling of being active, and loved the results I was seeing.
I’ll admit to being petrified initially about the BBG diet after my disastrous attempt at dieting on my own. However, there was nothing to be scared about.
The food was fresh and delicious, the menus were easy to prepare, and once I added in some extra fruit and vegetables a couple of times a week I never felt hungry.
You should know about the one other thing I did, because you’ll probably have to do it too if you purchase the BBG program Kayla sold with the 80% discount link: I bought the jump rope and dumbbells that you need for some of the exercises.
The option is to simply go to a gym to work out, but with my busy life it was easier and cheaper to just purchase what I needed. You also need a bench, but I had one around the house so I was all set there (You can use a chair instead of a bench, if you do not have one.)
After ten days or so I started seeing the scale move, and as the weeks went by, it moved more and more.
3 pounds...7 pounds…10 pounds…it just kept going down.
I felt the weight dropping off, my muscles started to get firm, my energy built.
My clothes got looser and looser, and I had to go shopping several times during the twenty-four weeks because my outfits just didn’t fit anymore.
It was truly amazing. Nothing really happened during the first week, other than I felt a little better, a little more limber and a little more awake. But after that – wow!
The twenty-four weeks finally ended, and four things had happened;
That’s right! The BBG program helped me lose all of my extra weight, in just six months!
Can you tell how excited I am? Imagine how excited I was when all 43 pounds were gone!
I have no regrets and thankful to Kayla for her 80% discount site that convinced me to try out her workout program.
Now you know why I was so motivated to write this review.
I want women to know that being overweight is not a lost cause, and there’s no reason to give up.
Taking off the excess pounds can be simple, fast and even fun with Kayla's fitness plan.
If you’re like me before, feeling depressed and helpless about your weight, the Kayla Itsines PDF guides can be your ticket back to a healthy, normal life.
If it worked for me, it will work for you too!
And one last thing: remember that I told you about the discount link I found that let me get the entire Bikini Body Guide PDF collection for just $39.97, 80% off the regular price?
